Adams Knot shown! C. H. Dillehcly, Supt. of Schools. Of all the wheels in this school "Miss Liz" is just about the most essential. She is the beauty of the office, the holder of the money bags, and the "Dillehay - Fulton - Teams" right-hand man. Liz, we want you to know that you are greatly appreciated, and more than that, you are a friend to us all. Now here's someone we all know. No, he isn't a teacher, but nevertheless we all know him. He is the guy that helped you out when you got your schedule in such a mess you thought you would never get it straightened out. Remember that day that you were so sick that you had to stay out of school and go to the show for recovery? Who was Waiting for you the next day with quite a bit to say? Why, it was Mr. Fulton, of course. Mr. Fulton, we may seem to be an un- appreciative bunch of kids, but we would like for you to know that we think you are the greatest guy that ever walked the halls of 'ole V. H. S. Few persons have worked so untir- ingly or given so much to our school as Mrs. Bryant in her capac- ity of yearbook sponsor, sponsor of the Honor Society, and collector oi unusual school pets. S. is to stimulate and create interest in outside activities of the school. There are fourteen different clubs repre- senting a varied group of interests of every one in high school. ln many cases these clubs prepare the students for the work they are planning to do when they graduate. The D. E. club is a very good example of this. The F. H. A. and Dramatics clubs are also good examples. The purpose of many clubs is the fellowship and entertainment of being together. No matter what the purpose, all the clubs are enjoyed. 'ag J-1.1 - Q. f J '- " f , , IZJ Prince Scott, our assistant coach, . ZW fl I , had lootball as his main interest r 1 -' ' in high school. Our "Shut the Window" sign can be removed from the door and our dead-line notations on our blackboard may be erased. We've had fun as well as work in that little Annual room. Many times our fingers were too cold to paste up layouts because that radiator Wasn't large enough to warm the place. Many more times, We've literally usweated blood' over having to retake your pictures. We've "eaten" our Way through pleasant sessions with our engraver's representatives-but it was worth it. Words alone are inadequate to express our appreciation for having had thekopportunity and privilege of creating your year book. We'd like to apolo- gize in advance for any unintentional mistakes that might have crept into the volume. We've been told repeatedly that there is "no perfect annual". We hope you enjoy your book as much as the staff has enjoyed compiling it. We've given you our best efforts and to the Seniors of Vernon High School, Whose last high school year book it will be-here's hoping it is your best. Your Staff 'W BOOSTEIVS 'CL We, the 1949 Yamparika staff, wish to acknowledge the assistance of our many advertisers. Your loyal support has made this production possible, and we are grateful to you.
