The Girls' Athletic Association this year celebrated its seventh anniversary. This year Mrs. Sedgwick, girls' athletic instructor, supervised the club. The purpose of the club is to promote an athletic interest, to create good sportsmanship, and to foster good health. The officers of this organization for the year were President, Marlys Hultg Vice-president, Ione Teutschg Secretary-Treasurer, Barbara Bolstadg and Sports Head, Shirley Benson.

HI-Y The Hi-Y organization, under the supervision of Glenn Marcoe, had an active year 1943-44. One of the activities was the sponsoring of a very successful formal dance. The officers of this year's club were: President, jim Jorgensong Viceupresident, Archie Bacon: Secretary and treasurer, Jack DeVany. The purpose of the Hi-Y club is 'To create, maintain and extend throughout the school and community, high standards of Christian character'. The Hi-Y club basketball team, coached by Art Erickson and Archie Bacon, journeyed to Sioux Falls again this year to the annual tournament. The team reached the semi-finals to be turned back by a strong Madison five.
