During their marching career the band delighted the football Fans with a circus routine complete with music, clowns, acrobats and a motorcycle dareclevil! One half- time performance included a "This ls Your Life" program for Mr. Miller. He received camera equipment in appreciation of his invaluable service to our school. A lot of extra preparation readied the band for one of its most important engagements to date, a half-hour concert for 2400 teachers in the Saginaw Auditorium. As usual, the band and choir ioined in the presentation of the Annual Christmas Concert, and then, in February, the band went to the District Festival and received a straight DIVISION I RATING, but, we are sorry to say, they were not able to repeat this when they traveled to Ann Arbor and the State Festival. As a climax to the year's activity, the music department presented an annual Spring Concert which was very well received by a large audience both evenings. Both the band and the choir ended the year with the wonderful feeling that they deserved for a year of activity, WELL DONE!
