Shorty Brown, who gets up Home Comings ev- ery Thanksgiving, holds forth here-also Mr. Benson, who files locks at Kissam. Now proceed up in front of Furman Hall, the grey stone building directly before you. This building cost 580,000 The most peculiar thing about it is the roof-it leaks. The weird odors are the results of chemical experiments which abound in pro- fusion on the inside. Do not be surprised if you see a head or an arm come bursting through a glass window-it is the Fresh- men making Hydrogen. On the top floor is one McNeilly. As you pass down the corridor you will see on your left the Alumni Room. Charlie Cason will ac- cept your alumni dues, if you de- sire to pay. At the cross corri- dor turn to your right and go up stairs. The double doors open into chapel. Note the pictures on the walls. They represent men and women who made Van- dy what she is to-day. Now if you're satisfied, go down and down and down until, you are once more beside-the drinking fountain. Stop a moment, and drink hot water H to the health of ' I Z. Proceed on down the hall. As you pass the Bursar's office, put on speed, and exit rapidly. You are now at F on the map. Turn to your right and pro- ceed to the statue of the original Commodore. From here, go due East till you hit a cinder path, and follow it till you reach a fenced enclosure, the athletic field. Page twenty
