T: '-Ll , ?'agL Mr. Saunders, Mr. Tucker. KNICHTS The Knights. Van Nuys High School's honor organiza- tion. has been very active this past year. Under the able leadership of Roger Grabenstein, the Wi53 Knights start- ed the semester with the semi-annual Knights' induction dinner. This dinner was held at Dave Vincent's home. and the Knights. new and old, enjoyed a delicious repast of steaks and all the trimminffs. D The constitution was rewritten and approved. A file was accumulated containing the names and addresses of all alumni of Van Nuys High who are members of the armed forces. This was available for use by any of the students who wished to write to a service man. The Knights were ushers for many extra-curricular activities. The Knights of 953. under the firm hand of Don KNIGHTS S'53 Henda. accomplished much in the twenty weeks alloted. A Knights' and Ladies? Social was held, and also a dance sponsored hy the Knights and Lettermen jointly. Another social was made possible with the cooperation of the Ladies. and the second Induction Ceremony was held at Bill Vlvelchis home. The steaks this time were per- sonally hroiled by the members. The Knights also helped usher the representatives from various colleges and uni- versities when they presented their respective colleges to those interested. The Knights Organization is composed of boys with the highest scholastic and service recommendations. It is an organization with the betterment of the school as its aim.
