To find the meaning and purpose of life even under these conditions, and to contribute to the betterment of mankind should be the aim both of faculty and students at Van Horn High School. He has the responsibility of handling all disciplinary problems of the sc ol. He also is in charge of scheduling the classes and enroll' the students. JQQ oar MISS HELEN IOHNSON, counselor, has been at Van Horn since it opened and has helped the students in their personal, as well as educational problems. She also gives students helpful guidance on planning for wgeqe, securing employment, and securing iinancial at , R- sr... . --- ,. MR. BEN KING, counselor, has been at Van Horn since 1958 after serving the first 2 years as common leaminqs teacher, he then entered the position of counselor. He has carried out very efficiently the job of helping the students with their enrollment problems, college and employment selection and other help the students need. MRS. ESLER, nurse, formerly at Central Ir. High, is beginning her first year at Van Hom. She is also nurse at Pitcher Fairview Ir. High. Along with her duties at two schools, Mrs. Esler is also doing graduate work at Kansas University.
