OUR PROBLEMS ARE THEIRS Van Horn students are guided, supervised, and improved through the efforts of the administrators. They are confronted with, and solve many problems in order to main- tain a smooth functioning high school. They arc the liaison between students and faculty. Mr. Madison Griffith came to Van Horn this year as Principal. Throughout the year he has been here he has shown a deep interest and understanding of every phase of school life, and thus has gained the admiration and respect of both the students and his co-workers. Mr. Edgar Curtis, our vice-principal has helped to guide our discipline through firmness, kindness, and understanding. Miss Helen Johnson, our counselor, has assisted students by helping them to better under- stand their personal problems, their abilities, aptitudes, and interests. Our faculty has worked hard to teach us those elements of service, scholarship, leader- ship, and character traits which will help make us successful and happy citizens. Besides regular classes each day, they sponsored clubs, societies, various other organizations, helped us with the school publications, activities and presentations. They emphasized that each student should assume a personal responsibility to help make this school func- tion smoothly and democratically. Mr. J. L. Laughlin presents our new principal, Mr. Madison Griffith.
