• The Van Horn faculty has helped in many ways to get the school off to a good start. Their knowledge has helped our students gain much both inside and outside the class- room. Many faculty members have sponsored student council committees, clubs, literary societies, music groups, field trips, athletic contests and other after-school activities. They have worked with the Parent- Teachers Association, with the community, and with all the civic groups interested in the school. Their guidance has been sincerely appre- ciated. SENIOR CLASS OFFICERS: Jim Coldsnow, treasurer; David Dodd vice president. Jody Rose, secretary; Jim Evans, presi- dent; Bob Bailey, sergeant-at arms; Bob Peck, reporter. SENIORS • Setting new standards, high ideals and traditions were only a part of the great task which the seniors were privileged to under- take during the lirst year. The seniors had the distinction of helping to “Break 1 h rough to a new beginning. Directing the choice of the school name, ‘Falcon, and the school colors of red and gray, organizing a student council, selecting class rings, electing class officers, planning senior activities, ionning societies and de- partmental clubs were but a few of the many activities in which the seniors worked with the underclassmen to establish prece- dent lor other graduating classes of the luture. Perhaps no other senior class has ever had such an exciting and rewarding experience during their last year of high school. 22
