Mrs. Burg, Mrs. Rozier, Head Librarian. • 1 he Van I lorn Branch Library serves the Inter-City district both as a public library and a high school library. It is equipped with over eighteen thousand books, subscriptions to lifty magazines, and an excellent collec- tion of reference books. About fifteen hun- dred b(K)ks are selected and arranged espe- cially lor teenagers. A peaceful atmosphere for browsing through favorite novels or for pursuing seri- ous study is found in the spacious lounge on the balcony, and the conference room is a popular meeting place for Student Council committees, P.T.A., and Inter-City civic groups. During the year the trophy case was used to display posters, products of art classes, and new' IBooks. Students make good use of a convenient library
