GUIDANCE Miss Helen Johnson counsels a student. • Miss Johnson, counselor, lias been a friend to the students at Van 1 lorn by providing educational and vocational information and helping students to understand their own abilities, aptitudes, and interests. This year, perhaps, her greatest contribution to Van I lorn was her assistance in the orientation of so many students to a new school. Mr. Curtis, vice-principal, has given able assistance to Mr. Laughlin, faculty and stu- dents. I le has gently, but firmly, enforced school regulations and Student Council rules. MR. LAUGHLIN In April Mr. and Mrs. Laughlin attended the C. O. I. banquet at Van Horn Cafeteria. Mr. Laughlin went to Jefferson City in March to hear Pat Sportsman win third place in the State American Legion Oratorical Contest. He posed for a photograph with Miss Cassell, Pat, Mrs. Sportsman and Mr. Sportsman.
