CLASS WILL We, the seniors of Van Del High School of I957, being of sound mind and body, contrary to the fact that others differ, do hereby make this our last Will and Testament. ARTICLE I - To the faculty we leave peace and quiet, which most of them will enjoy. We also hope that they will find 22 seniors identically like us. ARTICLE Il - To our custodian, Graydon Elder, we leave the tidy homeroom and the marked-up desks. To the cooks we leave peace and quiet in the lines and many unbroken dishes. ARTICLE Ill - To the underclassmen: To the iuniors we leave our homeroom, sponsor, and coatrack. To the sophomores we leave our fascinating ability to get along with the faculty. To the freshmen we leave three more years of fun and also, the ability to make this school one to be proud of. ARTICLE IV - I, Linda Merris, leave my slimness to Virginia Thatcher, and my thanks to Larry Nihiser for the countless rides to Van Wert. I, Janic Hirn, leave my height to Dale Dillmore, and my sense of humor to Helen White. I, Jim Long, leave my ability to get good grades to Florence Beair, and my locker to anyone who wants it. I, Karen Bowden, leave my cheerleading dress to Judy Wortman, and my knowl- edge to Bob McGee. I, Jim Turner, leave my ability to always look on the bright side to Marilyn Reed, and my humor to Robert Koester. I, Ronnie Robeson, leave my shortstop position to anyone who wants it, and my ability to get along with the teachers to Elbert Treen. I, Evelyn Cowgill, leave my Chevy to David Niles, and my size to Ann Miller. I, Hank Longstreth, leave my varsity suit to Gary Stewart, and my dimples to Evelyn Mason. I, Don Nighswander, leave to the junior class the record we set in magazine sales, and all the knowl- edge I have obtained in my I2 years to Janet Dias. I, Jean Nebel, leave my ability to get along with teachers to Larry Lytle, and my shorthand pad to Diane Tabor. I, Bob Davis, leave to Lynn Vogt my physics book, and my athletic ability to Nancy Hines. I, Phil Johns, leave my varsity basketball suit to Rex Schaadt, and the best of luck to the junior class. I, Donna Nighswander, leave my front seat in American Problems to Fred Sargent, and my Home Eco- nomics grades to Carol Markley. I, Gus Tomkins, leave my physics grades to Patty Shively, and my glasses to Reid Johnson. I, Rex Adams, leave the spot in all the teachers' hearts vacant for Betty Hammons, and my excess poundage to Pete Feysa. I, Phyllis Etzler, leave my vacant spot in the National Honor Society to Linda Graham, and my neat locker to Ruth Greene. I, Carole Girod, leave my worn-our textbooks to Marcia Long, and my bus seat behind Billy Johnson to Myrna McGinnis. I, Dean Stemen, leave my speech grades to John Reed, and my varsity basketball suit to Dick Elder. I, Gary Cooper, leave my I956 Mercury to Paul Wilson, and to Herb Zuercher my ability to get along with all the girls. I, Joan Schaadt, leave my personality to Elaine Stepelton, and my seat in speech to Phyllis Zinsmeister. I, Ronnie Brenneman, leave to my brother George, my post in F .F.A. and to Crystal Webster my ever-loving typewriter. I, Bill Friesner, leave my photographic mind to Dwayne Vogt, and my troubles to Tom Hook. I, Robert Koester, will one small part of my empire to the most gracious seventh grade teacher, Mrs. Kerr, to build a gymnasium around her new, modern school building. To any teacher who has the same problem I have, I will my variety of hats. I leave my 22 well-mannered, attentive, and intelligent seniors to this very unsuspecting and unknowing world.
