VAN ALSTYNE HIGH SCHOOL VAN ALSTYNE, TEXAS 1975-1976 “THE BICENTENNIAL ISSUE’' Times Of Your Life Good morning yesterday. You wake up and time has slipped away And suddenly it's hard to find the memories you left behind Remember, do you remember? 2 R. Nichols B. Lane The laughter and the tears. The shadows of misty yester years V is The good times and the bad you've seen and all the others in between Remember, do you remember the times of your life? Reach back for the joy and the sorrow Put them away in your mind So gather moments while you may Collect the dreams you dream today Remember, will you remember the times of your life? s The 1975-76 Paw Is Dedicated To Mr. Harvey Wilson Love is very patient and kind, never jealous or envious, never boastful or proud, Never haughty or selfish or rude. Love does not demand its own way. It is not irritable or touchy. It does not hold grudges and will hardly ever notice when others do it wrong. Corinthians 13: 4-5 MEMORIAM Because she exemplified in her teaching career the ideals described in this poem, the following lines are dedicated to the memory of Mrs. Elizabeth Gregory. To Teach With Love By Georgiana Lahr To teach with love Through all the patient years; To lend a hand. To wipe a small child's tears; To see with love The lessons and the plan, To help to mold The child from youth to man; To walk with love In classrooms day by day; To show the right. The finer, higher way. All this you've done For children and for youth You've taught the way Of vision, beauty, truth! As memories are always a part of a person, so are they a part of a yearbook. We, the Annual Staff, hope this book holds many memories for each of you. After all, you composed the book because of your smiling faces, laughter, and good times. It has really been a great experience for me to have worked on THE PAW. There were so many long, hard hours of planning and work; but during the end, it was all worthwhile. I enjoyed very much working with the people on the staff and I appreciate all the work done. I would like to extend special thanks to Miss St. Clair for being a wonderful sponsor and a friend to all of us. Special thanks also to Teresa Burris for artwork and picture development, Connie Medders, Bill Hendricks, Jeanne Dunlap, and Mr. John Partin for photography development. Make this year a part of your memories by enjoying THE PAW of 1976. Sincerely, Pam Hulsey Editor ADMINISTRATION Superintendent: MR . jKfik SHERMAN TAYLOR I SCHOOL BOARD SITTING: J. Flannery andJ.
