Not just giving of gifts, which can become so expected, but giving of one's self- which in our world is so unexpected! Some 2,000 years ago, when God sent His Son to our planet, He was really giving us the first Christmas gift. But, unlike the gifts we so often give at Christmastime, His gift was a part of Himself. It was the ultimate example of a gift motivated by a perfect love which is available only through God. lt's this perfect love that God wants us to know more about. And it's the real reason for which He sent His Son to Earth. God knew our view of love had become so distorted, so limited. Our love is so often based on how others treat us. But God wanted us to know that His love - perfect love - is never affected by how we react to Him. ll- 5 W 'iz qi +1

0 Ea rth Heaven's gift was Jesus. And until we really understand the love He came to share, we are missing out on the greatest gift ever given. lt's a gift that never wears out like most Christmas presents do. ln fact, the more we are willing to accept of God's gift, the more it will invade our lives and begin to touch others.
