The school board would like to take this opportunity to express its appreciation to all
involved in the operation of Valley View Junior Academy for their part in our quest for excel-
lence. Even though we are currently using some temporary facilities for our library and are aware
of some physical plant limitations we realize that a school is made up not of desks and books
and buildings, but of people. It is to those people we wish to express our appreciation for their
past support and accomplishments and our confidence in the future.
To the church members in our constituency, let it never be said that your vision was small
or your commitment to Christian education compromised.
To the administration and faculty, your enthusiasm is apparent in both the improvements in
our school buildings and maintenance and in student growth.
To the students, in times of ever increasing turmoil it is a pleasure to watch your develop-
ment in both educational excellence and Christian standards.
This year has offered us some new beginnings, and although perhaps marred by some old
mistakes, through Christ there is always another opportunity and another new beginning.
of U, M.

In this year of 1980, we start a new decade. New
beginnings come to us with the new year. But even as we
look at important beginnings, this book is more like the
Book of Remembrance, being made up of the deeds of our
lives.
It is my sincere hope that the beginnings of vision that
you have caught here will bud and blossom in your life to
reach the goal of faithful and dedicated service.
Even as you try to make new beginnings remember that,
"No star is ever lost we once have seen
We always may be what we might have been."
Sincerely yours, in
Prinvfpfll
