AN The Valley High band is a very active organization this year. In addition to the regular routine of playing for the pep rallies and ball games, the band played for the Homecoming parade, participated in the annual Band Day at Auburn, and entertained at a luncheon for the stockholders and attended by the governor. The band accepted the invitation to the inaugural parade in Montgomery, and there are plans to attend the festivals and contests at We- tumpka and the University of Alabama. The projects carried out by the band are the sales of the football programs and a car wash. With money raised with these and the help of the Band Boost- er's Club, several new instruments were purchased. Keep up your work everyone, for a bigger and better band! Page Forty Seven
