The TALON for the year 1970 is com- pleted. By no means was the completion of this book merely a twitch of the nose. Many, many hours of hard work have gone into making this annual what we think is the best yearbook Santa Ana Valley has ever produced. I would like to express my thanks to the many people on the TALON staff who have been the heartbeat of our yearbook. Thanks go to Marilyn Eddie. Without her help as assistant editor, we would have had many difficulties. Mary Bender and Jayne Shutt labored long over the activities section. Mary also designed the cover and division pages and did much of the art work in the TALON. Stuart Maurer was always hard at work on the sports section. Karen Hernandez used many original ideas in the senior section. The underclass editors were: Sherry Weir, co-ordinating editor, Sandi Ferguson, juniors, Mike Cook, sophomores, and Mary Spoonhower, freshmen. The club section was compiled by Marion Chairez and the academics by Marlene Lamb. Joan Boone was responsible for the GAA section, Joan also kept our records and photographs in order. Jill Werts was copy editor, assisted by Karen Hill and Tony Scott. Dana Wells compiled the faculty and administration section of our annual. Also, my appreciation goes to Debbie Watts and Jeanne Rogers for their over all help in all sections. Janvie Cason handled all of our money matters this year and was responsible for the advertisements. My deepest gratitude, however, goes to our photographer Alex Duron, without whom we would have had many difficulties. Alex was assisted by Gary Ambrose and Jerry Hobel. Our adviser was Mrs. Elaine Stuckey. She was always there when we were in a panic to calm us down and help us. I give to you, the associated student body, the 1970 TALON.
