to Handle Sophomore Class Load .41 Steve Apodoca, Robert Dixon, Marcella Baca, Danny Marquez, Margaret Archuleta, Beverly Cordova and Dolores Garcia prepare for a lab in Biology I. Sophomores had two choices for their science credit this year, since Biology I and Anatomy and Physiol- ogy were both offered. Three new Biology teachers were added to the staff this year, Patricia Bodwell, Iames Daly, and Robert Iden. Mr. Daly also teaches Conservation. Chemistry II replaced Biology II allowing the students who had taken Chemistry I during their junior year to take Chemistry II their senior year. Chemistry I and II were taught by Ed Dinello, the science department head, and Bill Sord taught Chemistry ww-. I. Zoology and Conservation were if offered as electives to juniors and seniors. These were full year courses. The Zoology class took field trips to several parts of the city for observa- tion purposes. Physics was another class offered only to seniors and jun- iors. This class was taught by Mr. Sord. Ae ROTC took several field trips this year to compete in drill meets. In ' their first meet which was held in Roswell, the drill team took first place.
