BERT EVERETT MARLENE DUNAWAY MA School Administration MA School Administration Vice Principal Vice Principal Valley's administration was made up of forty-seven years of loyal serv- ice from Mel Gonzales, Bert Everett, Marlene Dunaway and Marie Hays. These four people along with the secretaries helped Merl Riggs to run Valley in his first year as principal. Mr. Everett is primarily concerned with curriculum planningg Ms. Duna- way works primarily with data proc- essing and senior graduation require- ments: and Mr. Gonzales works mostly with attendance and building and grounds. Counseling OfHCe Provides Variety 2 .f:JE4.w fii Zilii 9' ili 1 Bill Craig discusses college requirements with Bill Roskosh, one of his counselors. There were several changes in the counseling department this year. A new head counselor and two new counselors were added to last year's staff to replace two counselors who found other jobs. One of these coun- selors who left is actually still at Val- ley, at least two days a week. Betsy Yost is now working for APS as a counselor for Bordertown students. She is paid from funds provided by the Navajo tribe and also works with students at Highland and Iefferson Iunior High School. Pat Baca, formerly a VR counselor, now specializes in helping VHS stu- dents find jobs and Clyde Archibe- que, who was a counseling intern last year, returned to Valley full time.
