Mr. James P. Toler, a newcom- er to Valley, teaches SMSG Ge- ometry, Trigonometry, and Math Analysis. Mr. Toler has received his BA from the Uni- versity of Michigan and is do- ing graduate work at Cleve- land Marshall Law School, Purdue University, the Univer- sity of Wyoming (Math), Bos- ton College (Math) and the University of New Mexico (Math and engineering). He was born in Buffalo, New York, and his favorite hobbies are skiing and mountaineering. Mr. Toler also sponsors the Ski Club. Mrs. Carlene Walker, who was born in Louisiana, teaches senior English. She received her BA from North- western State University of Louisiana and a MA from the University of New Mex- ico. Mrs. Walker ' s favorite hobbies are golfing, reading, and writing. She has been with Valley for one year. Mr. Frank Walker teaches Arts and Crafts at Valley and sponsors the Viking Art League. Mr. Walker, who has been at Valley for ten years, holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a Master of Art Education degree. He was born in Raton, New Mexico and his favorite hob- bies are Archeology and Ge- ology. Mr. Grant Waterman teaches Math II and Intermediate Al- gebra at Valley. He has been with Valley for ten years and sponsors the Audio Vis- ual Aids Club. Mr. Waterman received his MA from U.N.M. and a BS in Syra- cuse, New York. He was born in Auburn, New York, his favorite hobbies are bowling and fishing, and he enjoys playing the organ. Mr. Robert S. Werstler teaches U.S. History and is one of the sponsors of the Junior Class. He received his BS from Kent State University and a MA from U.N.M. Mr. Werstler has been at Valley for five years. Among his favorite hobbies are dogs, books, carpentry, garden- ing, and dabbling in art. Mr. James C. Williams, a newcomer to Valley, fetch- es P.E., Health, and Drivers Training. Mr Williams, who was borj in Salem, Massachusetts, holds a BS degree. His hobbies are ski- ing, hunting, and fishing, and he also sponsors the Valley Ski Club. Miss E. Jane Williams teach- es English at Valley. She at- tended Columbia Univer- sity ' s Teacher College in New York where she re- ceived a BS and a MA. Miss Williams, who has been at Valley for ten years, was born in Evanston, Illinois. Her favorite hobbies are ten- nis, travel, reading, and peo- ple. Miss Sylvia Wilson is the sponsor of the G.A.A. Club at Valley this year. She teaches Physical Education and has been here for two years. Miss Wilson was born in Albuquerque and has at- tended the L ' niversity of New Mexico where she re- ceived a BS in Health, Phys- ical Education, and Recrea- tion. Mr. Ben D. Sandoval has been at Valley for ten years and is one of the charter members of Valley. Mr. Sandoval, who teaches Spanish and sponsors the Spanish Club, w as born in Santa Fe, New Mexico. He has a BA and a MA from U.N.M. and is doing post graduate work at the Uni- versity of California at Los Angeles and Dickerson Col- lege in Pennsylvania. Hunting, fishing, hiking, visiting old ruins, and raising milk goats, are some of Mr. Sando- val ' s hobbies. Mr. Sam Sandoval, teaching U.S. History and Physical Education, has been with Valley for two years. Born in Sterling, Colorado, he received his BA at Colorado State College. He is also head coach of the Cross Country and Wrestling teams. ggi ' Hp ■■ Mrs. Mary Sasser has been teaching Latin ' and English at Valley for six years. Born in Saint Jo, Texas, Mrs. Sasser re- ceived her Bachelor of Arts at North Texas State University. She sponsors the Latin Club. Mr. Robert Dale Sheets teaches Choral Music (Con- cert Choir, Mixed Chorus, and Girls Beginning and Ad- vanced Chorus) and also sponsors four special sing- ing groups. He holds both a Bachelor and a Master of Music Education from Tex- as Christian University. Mr. Sheets was born in Santa Fe, New Mexico ' and has been at Valley for seven years. Mr. Burney Talley, in his second year at Valley, teaches Biology. Born in Portales, New Mexico, he received a BS from Eastern New Mexico University and is doing graduate work leading up to a MS at the University of New Mexico. Mr. Talley sponsors the Science Club. His hobbies are camping, and Botanizing (collecting native plants, etc.) Mrs. Laura Elliott Threet has been with Valley for five years teaching English III. She also sponsors the Safety Council ' and Girl and Boy Staters. Born in Paris, Arkansas, she received her BS from the University of Arkansas and is engaged in graduate work at Peabody College for Teachers, Nashville, Tennessee. Reading, music, tennis, and people are her outside interests. Mrs. Bettie Lou Snapp has been at Valley for four years, teach- ing Home Economics and spon- soring the F.H.A. Born in Las Cruces, New Mexico, she re- ceived her BS at the Univer- sity of New Mexico and a Master of Education at Colo- rado State University. Hunting and fishing are Mrs. Snapp ' s hobbies. Mr. Reilly W. Taitte has been at Valley for five years, teaching Instrumental Mu- sic and sponsoring the Vik- ettes and the Dance Band.
