Although the Senior year is usually considered the final step of our high school journey along an old road, to us, the Seniors at Valley l-ligh, it is a new adventure in a new building, with new students and new teachers. In September, with the opening of school and the meeting of students from Central and Barton l-ligh School, fresh friendships sprang up. As our class leaders we chose James Kelly, presidentg Robert Montgomery, vice-president, Johann Rennie, secretaryg Helene Snyder, treasurer, and as our class sponsor Mr. Calvin Rankin. When our class rings finally arrived we felt more like Seniors. Much time was spent by many Seniors in the production of our yearbook, THE LANCE. Along the path of learning we stopped a few times for such adventures, peculiar only to Seniors, as ordering name cards and announcements, having graduation pictures taken and being measured for caps and gowns. Memorable events of the year were the Christmas Program. the Christmas Dance, the Operetta, the Coronation of the May Queen, the Junior-Senior Prom and Graduation Night.
