DEDICATION AND FAREWELL We, the students and faculty of Valley Christian High School would like to dedicate the 1984 edition of the Trojan Footprints to Dr.John Farris and Mrs. Jean Rus. Dr. Farris helped establish this school two years ago and has been administrator since that time. His contributions to Valley Chris- tian have been numerous and we appreciate his investment of time and energy on our behalf. Dr. Farris leaves us to accept new responsiblities at Western Bible College in Salem, Oregon. Mrs. Jean Rus has also been with us for two years, filling the position of school secretary. Jean and her husband, Larry, have been call- ed to the mission field to work with Action International Ministries. They are planning to leave for the Philippines this summer, where Larry will have administrative duties and Jean will be using her secretarial skills. Although we will miss the contributions of Dr. Farris and Mrs. Rus here at Valley, we know God is opening new doors of ministry for them and we pray God's blessing for them and their families. llillilli li.lGll..illllQl Ye: A

TOUCHI GBASE ITH OURADMINISTR TIO My Dear Students, Obviously, a close of a year brings changes. At no other time will we have just this student body. Some will move, but many more will come and take their place, thus changing the complex- ion of the family. However, it has been said that Stability is not immobilityf' It is my prayer that the students leaving will take with them the strength and character and commitment to the absolute truths of the Word of God they have learned at Valley Christian High School. As your administrator, teacher, counselor, brother in Christ, and friend, it has been my sincere privilege to have grown to love and appreciate each one of you. I want to leave you with these thoughts. Valley Christian is not what it will be one day. You have not finished becoming the Christian that God would have you become. In Paul's words, Not that I have already obtained all this . . . but I press on . . . forgetting what is behind . . . I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me . . .
