PART TWO WINTER SPCFITS Zorphus: Oh, how grand! Some more pages hlled with strenuous activity. Pyle: This game you are seeing is called basketball. There are five players on each team and points are scored by placing a ball through the opponent's basket. Zulini: Those hooplike structures are considered baskets? They appear more like instruments used for the capture of marine life. However, the lower portions have been removed. Zorphus: This sport is very interesting, Comrade Pyle, but what my scanners are presently beholdlng is much more enthralling! Zulini: CStunnedi I am stunned! lVlale species actually engage in close intimate contact with each other? I thought this type of material violated section 5.2 of the Ofhcial School Publications Rule Book. Pyle: No, Zorphus! These are just wrestlers. They battle their opponents by using various moves and holds. It is an ancient style of hghting. Zorphus: It still seems unfathomable as to why anyone would be inclined to grasp a perspiring gladiator in leotards while in a musty and malodorous room. Zulini: I see a tlcheerleader on the tillage vociferating encouragement to a striped battalion. What type of sport are they engaged in? Pyle: It's called soccer. Zorphus: Sock her? Surely they do not abuse that stunning young lady by socking and striking her! Pyle: No, no, no! The players score points by kicking and dribbling a ball about the field with their feet, trying to get it into the opposition's net. Zorphus: That seems much more logical. Pyle: Let us move to the softball held. Zulini: Softball? Does this sport require along, ligneous stave which is used to strike a mocerated orb into a gramineous held intersected by padded slabs and a pentagonal spangle? Pyle: Well . . . ah ...er . .. I guess so. Look we're running out of room, so why don't I show it to you instead, O.K.? . .. 74 I Hx -I ' if l 'lf as '. f IN liz. Q, I . N Q. , . 'fq w 'I . ' I A S, 'S' Q .
