,,,' . Although the girls did not do as well as they had first hoped, they still had a good season. They had their moments when they upset the 3rd ranked Granite Hills and knocked Monte Vista out of C.I.F. playoffs. There were two returning varsity players: Lu Ann Cores and Carla Galvan. The team has high hopes for next year as they are only losing two seniors. The team consisted of: Carla Galvan- Senior, 4-year varsity player. Carla helped a lot in spiking line and serving, Jill lVleyer-Senior, strong server and good ball sense, Lu Ann Gores-Junior, 2-year varsity player, strong spiking skills and strong blocking skills, also has lots of hustle, Stephanie Jerris-Junior, most consistent setter, good defense, Julie Bristol-Junior, good net player, great attitude, and lots of spirit, Whitney Lukousis-Junior, nice touch for setting, hot server, Julie Nelson-Junior, powerful spiker and server, Jackie Toom-Junior, her strong legs enable her to jump high and spike the ball well, Deryn Bailey-Junior, Deryn is one of our few all around players. Our junior varsity players had a good learning season. They show good promise for the future, The coaches also had a good year with the team. The entire Volleyball Team has good potential and hope to see you next year at a few of their games. You can remove your see-through protection . . . We are friendly beings. Pyle: This is not protection. These are glasses, they help me to see better. Zorphus: On our planet we are not accustomed to the deterioration of one's optical scanners. It must be a detestable feeling. Pyle: Hmmm ... it's almost 12:00. The upperclassmen will be leaving soon. Zorphus: Why would anyone wish to depart from this fine institution? Pyle: Oh, to go home and spend time with their families. Zulini: Do you mean to infer that the Enterprise houses no 24-hour occupants? Pyle: Well, legally not, but there are some yearbook staff members that seem to spend nights, as well as days, inside the building. Zorphus: I am glad that you introduced the subject of departure, because the time has come in which Zulini and I must bid adieu and tergiversate from the scene. Pyle: But why so soon? You've just barely arrived! Zulini: That is a factual statement, comrade Pyle, but what more could our scanners possibly behold? Pyle: Ishockedl Why, we've barely scraped the surface of the many sports, activities and clubs that the Enterprise has to offer! Zorphus: We apologize sincerely if our podiatrotters are scraping the surface of these colorful rugs. We have no intention of defacing your floors. Pyle: Don't worry, the carpet is fine, it's my feelings that will be hurt if you insist on leaving so soon. Zorphus: We do not desire to infiict pain on your person ... Zulini: ... And like I stated before, we are freindly beings . .. Zorphus . . . so we have no alternative but to remain. Pyle: Oh good!
