Humanities I, with a different schedule each six weeks and a new system, too! Remember the tag boards and the egg cartons? Wow, what an introduction! Then we moved into our new building. What a challenge! VaIhaIla's first four year class. We were great then, and we have been getting better ever since. There is something special about being the first to try something or to do something for the hrst time. We can be so proud of the class of 1978-they have set the standard for many classes yet to come-they are number one! Who organized the hrst class picnic? Who had the First Debate Olympics? The first World Famous Culture Fair? The Renaissance Fair? American Studies? The best sports teams in the school's history? PART FIVE -Q f FACULTY AND ADS Zorphus: I am astounded! The students in these pictures are for more aged and withered than those stunning youngsters on the preceding pages. Are these elderly students members of 1 post-graduate class? Pyle'Oh.no1 These are members of our faculty. Along vvith myself, they keep the facility operating smoothly so that the students can obtain a proper education. Zulini: I-lmmm ... perhaps you could expound further on this subject. Pyle: Certainly. First vve have the Administration. This includes lVlr. lVlafv, lVls. Smith and myself. Their primary duty is discipline vvhile I take care of business procedures. Next vve have the Counseling Staff, our Business, lVlath and Science Department, and the Humanities Staff. In Humanities, english and history are taught. Zorphus: Being instructed in the dialect of your people vvould be quite beneficial to beings such as ourselves. It seems vve communicate on different levels. Pyle: That certainly is evident... but vve do encourage our students to learn the languages of other lands. We employ foreign language teachers for this purpose. Zulini: I'd thinlc that only the most erudite scholars could be language instructors. On our planet, vve use a multilinguistrograph to teach different methods of bilingual communication. Pyle: Our modern lVledia Department deals expertly vvith communication. This is due mainly to our fine library. Zulini: Library? ls that a room in vvhich you utilize for the accumulation of librettos and various dissertations? Pyle: Yes, and a lot of boolcs are kept there, tool . . . Unified Arts, Physical Education, and our Classified Employees complete the faculty section. Zorphus: lyavvningl I suppose we will be compelled to vievv them individually.
