TRACKSTERS SET NEW SCHOOL RECORDS With two new events in the girls ' track schedule, they set the records in the first meet, only to be broken later in the season. The first to set the records was Sophia Hernandez in the two mile and Rhonda Patcha in the 110 low hurdles. Rhonda also set a new school record in the 440 yard dash by running it in under 1 minute. The team as a whole did very well in practices and was looking for- ward to a successful season filled with many record-breaking times and distances, and a lot of personal bests. Leading the team in spirit and pride were co-captains Katy Dollard and Mary Ippolito. i« BODY 1 94
