G uidance The ideal goal of counseling is to help each individual become all that he or she is capable of becoming. Each person ts an individual with unique feelings and concerns and we attempt to treat each student as such in all guidance counseling. Although counseling with pupils is the most important guidance function, it is not the only one. Considerable time is spent with duties other than counseling such as helping students with course selec- tions, giving tests to help us know an individual better, supplying college schol- arships and financial aid information, work on transcripts to colleges, and a myriad of other tasks. We try to emphasize that every pupil is encouraged to come to the counseling room if he needs any kind of help. Above all, all conversation is strictly confidential.
