Mr. Stanley Dail, Principal A willingness to accept the responsibility for one ' s actions and deeds is an indication of maturity. Your co¬ operative spirit and sound judgement have played a great part in holding the problems of establishing a new high school to a minimum this year. You have no control over the fact that you are heading into a world that is so swept by the winds of change that some of you may have to train yourselves for from three to five occupations within your life time. The consistent character of your learning and one winch will be useful in all situations is thinking. Contrary to the belief of some, the skill of thinking can be cultivated and greatly improved through continued use of this mental process. As you continue in life ' s endeavor, either here at Vaiden Whitley High School or elsewhere, continue to de¬ velop your sense of responsibility, remain ever mindful of the changes around you, engage yourselves in positive thinking, and be reminded that an honorable goal is to make the world a better place for other people to live be¬ cause you have been here. 13
