Twenfy Senior Class History Seniors, af lasf we've made if, and do you remember as we sfarfed our high school careers four years ago in I948? Now, suddenly, if's all over forever, and we find ourselves looking back on fhose four years fhaf were so filled wifh precious memories of our high school days. Way back in our freshman year we sfarfed ouf wifh 72 members, buf only 70 finished fo receive diplomas. Bill Wolfe led us wifh Bob Caldwell, vice-presidenfq and l-larry Walfon, secrefary-freasureir, fo help 'him ouf. The freshmen had fheir firsf and only class parfy fhaf year which was held November 9. We were an indusfrious and curious class as we enfered our high school days and l'm sure we wouldn'f have goffen fhrough fhaf year wifhouf our able sponsors, Miss Lois Perry and Mr. Roberf McLean. Our hisfory began fo grow as we became sophies. Alfhough we hadn'f changed much, we fhoughf we were IOOX, smarfer and quife a bif older and more mafure. Of course we soon found ouf differenfly and sfarfed off fhe year wifh an informal class parfy on Ocfober 25, under fhe supervision of Mr. Earl Shaffer and Mr. Frederic Criner. Our biggesf momenf was when we vofed for and selecfed our class rings. If was even more excifing when we fried fo earn enough money fo pay for fheml Our compefenf and helpful officers fhaf year were: Allen Newell, presidenfg Gerald Schuler, vice- presidenfg Jack Lewis, secrefary and Dick Beidler, freasurer. Under fhe direcfion of Mr. Criner, we presenfed a one-acf play, Ghosf in fhe l-louse, which gave us much safisfacfion. The half way mark was begun wifh fhe juniors choosing Dick Rall, presi- denfg Erma Moore, vice-presidenf: Leonard Dillion, secrefaryq and Marilyn Sfeck, freasurer. If was a fine iob 'fhey did, foo, leading us along fhe way of a very successful year. We had a wonderful fime presenfing Ever Since Eve under fhe able direcfion of Miss Evelyn Neumeisfer, and we feel if was really a credif fo fhe class of '52. We worked very hard selling fhe refreshmenfs af fhe baskefball and foofball games so fhaf we would have sufficienf money fo sponsor fhe annual Jr.-Sr. Prom, which was fhe biggesf affair of fhe year. lf was held May 2l and, as cusfomary, if was given in honor of fhe seniors. The prom fheme was carried ouf nicely wifh fhe Land of lmaginafionw as fhe fifle. And fhen, almosf before we could cafch our breafh, our senior year began. To conducf and guide us fhrough our lasf year, we chose Dick Beidler as our presidenf: Bob l-lalm, vice-presidenfg Elizabefh Erey, secrefaryy and Shirley Wolfe, freasurer. The seniors had many imporfanf decisions fo make. We chose our namecards and announcemenfs, fhe color of our caps and gowns, our class flower, our official '52 colors, and our class moffo. On November I6, fhe seniors enjoyed a wonderful fime af fheir class parfy. On May 26, we were honored by being fhe guesfs of fhe iuniors af fhe Jr.-Sr. Prom. Finally and lasf of all came Commencemenfl As we leave good ol' USl-lS, we feel fhaf we have well fulfilled our expecfafions, and fhaf we owe if fo our school fo puf in pracfice in fhe fufure fhe knowledge and principles we have learned here in fhe pasf four years.
