SEHIU The most glamorous group in the school is the senior band. This organization met three times a week to practice with Mr. Assenheimer. Much has been accomplished this year. The band did not travel with the team this season but it was on hand for all our home games in full regale. What more can we ask than to see a band come majestically down the field executing many difficult man- euvers? Yes-the school would be minus a great asset if it hadn't had this organization. We all realize the work it did and we take off our hats to this enthusiastic group. ORCHESTRH The orchestra is not only an organization which functions to please others, but its purpose is to bring happiness and pleasure to those who comprise its membership. This group of young musicians played at many school assemblies under the capable leadership of Mr. Assenheimer. On two days a week, Tuesday and Thurs- day, it met in the auditorium to hold its rehearsals. Many pleasant and instructive hours were spent there in preparation for the orchestra's public appearances. War conditions made trips and festivals impossible, but nevertheless the thirty mem- bers worked toward their goal of perfection. BARBARA BOWMAN

JUHIUR CHORUS HND JUNIOR BHHD The junior chorus and the junior band are the school's organizations which give its younger students a chance to study and receive the experience and training required by our senior musical groups. The chorus and the band have given concerts during the year at which time they were favorably received by the public. These groups should be highly praised for their interest and work. They are the musicians who will soon step into the places left by our class in the senior chorus and band.-Barbara Bowman.
