He enlivened many otherwise dull class recitations- he aroused the enthusiasm of the student body as they gathered in the big gym for pep rallies- he invaded various school organizations as his popularity grew, but the Ram was the most popular on the football gridiron and on the basket- ball floor. Tale of the Ram 4 Q , H H ' . . U. S. I . S. I H U i , .1 Mr. Ram seemed to forget his timidity as he followed the teams into the thick of the fray. Not a few of the opposing players felt the ramming force and the grim determination which was put forth by Upper's football eleven and basketball quintet. As the close of the school year approached, Mr. Ram was caught up in a whirl of activities centering around the seniors and their graduation exercises. He realized that the time for many of his friends to depart was rapidly approaching. At last the long anticipated day arrived when the members of the Class of 1940 received their diplomas, and Mr. Ram regrettully said au revoir to his departing senior friends. ANN MILLER. O 6 0
