Back Io Wo,k again' .Cer ut tO' advl time O The Upper Dublin Senior High hockey team battled Ambler to a scoreless tie in its final game of the season to become the first varsity team in the history of Upper D h'i tn gc undefeated. An ample supply of fight, determination and ski!! enabled the lassies to compile a 5-O-l seasonal record. A strong defense held all opposition to a mere three tallies while a capable offense netted lo goals for the Red and Grey. After completing a week of instruction at hockey camp in the Pocono Mountains, the squad returned home ready to begin their season. Souderton, whom the squad d f t d before was the first to fall under the might of Upper Dublin. had never e ea e , Mercy, Jenkintown, Lower Moreland and Springfield were the next victims. Ambler our arch rival, was the final team to visit the Upper Dublin field. Despite ers, the Cardinalettes held the visitors and when the final whistle the loss of two play blew the score read O-O. Coach Joan Rocchino believes that this was the best squad that Upper Dublin has had thus far. The Junior Varsity did not have as successful a year, but they completed the season with an even 2-2-l log.
