How strange and new it seemed to us. But eventually we became accustomed to the long halls the new teachers and our many new classmates. We were soon able to distinguish the Seniors from the underclassmen and we wondered if we would ever reach that seemingly unattainable position. hen before we knew it seventh grade was finished- and there we were in eighth grade ready for another year And what a year it was' We were no longer the youngsters of the school and we felt dulte superior about it When we took our trip to Harrisburg and Hershey we really had a good time and everyone longed to own the chocolate factory :nth grade came almost before we were ready for it u it was one more step toward that coveted goal Finally w were invited to attend our first dances with our older classmates We had our ninth grade play One Mad Night which was really a mad play and loads of fun Some of us had become quite good athletes on the lunlor high teams and were already waiting for next year so that we could rainy trip to New York City and our graduation from lunlor high We had only three years left but still that senior year 5 I o DA 'K' xi . seemed far away ere it was the fall of i955 and we were in the tenth grade This was the year we really became a part of the senior high And we were ready to prove that we had really grown up Our Valentine Dance was really fun and we can still remember the excitement of seeing our tenth grade cheerleaders at their first varsity game Il X I xiii 0 .
