J. soMMERs A. FAD .During the 1956 season the Upper Dublin Football team captured two wins and suffered seven losses. The wins were over Lower Moreland and Schwenksville, and the losses were to Wyomissing, Jenkintown, Plymouth- Whitemarsh, William Tennant, Cheltenham, Neshaminy, and Springfield. The squad started practice on the 18th of August and spent three hard weeks getting ready for the opener with Springfield. The following week the Cards showed their defensive strength by holding Neshaminy, the lower Bucks champion, to 14 points. During the remaining seven games, the Red Birds were plagued with injuries and inexperience. But they came back strong against the Lions and the Bluebircls. This year the team worked hard for Coach Gilronan, Line Coach Schwer- ing, and Backfield Mento Cunningham. Out of the 18 lettermen 14 are graduating this june. They are: Co-Captains D. Barclay, Banes, and F. Cairo. The others are: N. Abbott, J. Freund, C. Harris, L. Mogg, J. Ottinger, G. Curtis, Edwards, M. Miller, W. Kelly, K. Winner, and G. Arnott.
