Scene Ill This September found us reporting as Seniors. The changes in the faculty caused us to believe that there were as many new teachers as students. For the first time, we were a combined homeroom-with Mrs. Gehret, Mr. Shearba and Mr. Foust as our advisors. We were beginning to bestow a big brother attitude on the lower classmen, a sure sign that we were seniors! As we smile with benign tolerance on the seventh grade, how many of us recall our own seventh grade days? Our first big job was to choose our leaders, who turned out to be Sam Sadtler as our president, Bev Kallenbach as vice president, Joan Sterner as sec- retary, and Sara Case as treasurer. In November, our girls won the nomination as Tri-County League Hockey Champions, and again we felt that surge of pride. November also saw us crowning Sannie Gifford as our Football Queen, and we like to think that she and her court were the nicest possible. December found us planning a Frosty Frolic which netted us some cold cash for our depleted treasury. January saw us really throwing elbow grease into the construction of our yearbook. These major incidents are outstanding in our minds, but we will never forget the little things like the Valentine Barrage showered upon Mr. Bekmezian, or our mad dashes for lunch, or our equally mad dashes when the 2:42 bell rings. Now many of us were exempt from the little pile of yellow over- due slips that traveled every morning from the library to room 4, the Senior Homeroom, and the unspoken requirement to wear kneesocks. It is little things like these that make a school priceless. Our six years in Upper Dublin were an important part of growing up, and we would like to thank everyone who helped us-Dr. Eshelman, Mr. Jones, and all our teachers. They have been our constant counselors, consolers, and companions as we witnessed the growth of our school. When we venture out into the world, we will try to be a credit to them, and thereby justify their faith in us. We sincerely believe that we are students in a wonderful school, so if anyone is in need of a really good school, may we speak from personal experience, and recommend Upper Dublin? lt's the greatest!
