Born in Brenisville, Virginia, April 14, 1855 Died in Richmond, Virginia, March 5, 1933 V PPA HUNTQN, Jr., died at his home in Richmond on March 5, in his seventy- seventh year. l-le had suffered from a heart affliction for more than a year, but had been seriously ill only a Few days. l-le was buried in l-lollywoocl Cemetery. Mr. l-lunton became a member ol the Board ol Visitors in March, 1902, and was a member ol that body when it selected Edwin An.derson Alderman to be the First president of the University. l-le served until March, 1908. l-le was the First treasurer ol the alumni board oi trustees of the University Endowment Fund and continued as a member until the time ol his death. l-le was born in Brentsville, Prince William County, on April 14,1855 l-le was admitted to the bar in 1877 soon alter graduating in law, and began practice with his lather in Warrenton. l-le moved to Richmond in 1901 where he was lor twenty years a member ol the Firm ol lVlunFord, l-lunton, Williams and Anderson. ln 1893-'94 he was a member ol the Virginia l-louse oi Delegates. l-le served as a member ol the States constitutional convention in 1901 as chairman of the committee on courts of justice. Mr. lnlunton became general counsel lor the Richmond, Fredericlcsburg and Potomac Railroad in 1914. l-le became president ol this road in 1920 and con- f' All Gil tn.
