Proxy - Progress - Synonymous ibr. ljonficld Landscaping the campus is one of his main interests . . . he personally supervises the transplanting of trees and shrubbery . . . expresses his patriotism by seeing that the flag is put up every sunny day, if the janitors don't get to do another thing . . . this year saw the completion of Sorority Row, the Presidents long-wished-for plan . . . an extensive building program also gave the campus the Student Union Buildingfthe pride and joy of the college . . . this year marked the first use of the two badly-needed parking lots and the new boy's dorm--eGordon Hall . . . the Presidents primary concern is the welfare of the University . . . he is the schools A-l sports fan . . . he rarely misses a Varsity game, whether it's football, basketball, or the minor sports . . . in spite of all this business, he finds time for occasional work in his own garden, or a game of golf . . . sets students an example of friendliness.

Y . . . brought glory to the University when she made the principal address at the Pan-Hellen- ic convention this spring . . . has an unguenchable sense of humor . . . which is fortunate . . . always looks very chic. H. D, Chase . . . counselor to men . . . sponsors Inter- fraternity council and T. U. Y . . . teaches Zool- ogy to curious students . . . who want to see what makes them tick . . . fig- uratively speaking . . . is remembered for many years by grateful students . . . for his patience and long-suffering . . . speaks slowly . . . and really says something . . . has a dry humor . . . Daughter Kathleen is a senior and is following in her father's foot steps and studying zoology . . . Dean and Mrs. Chase much appreci- ated for their many hours spent chaperoning.
