♦ .♦♦•.♦■ To The Graduates As many commencement speakers em- phasize, the Commencement Exercises rep- resent your entry into a new life — a be- ginning. Although this is oft-repeated, it is very true. You graduates are blessed and cursed with an entry into a very dynamic and tech- nological society that will require your constant alertness and continued education- al training whether it be on a formal or informal basis. Methods must be found, for example, to speed up the education and training of specialized manpower: new education-in- dustry relationships must be formed: inno- vations between educators and professional and technical societies are needed. Other vital sectors of our society, in addition to officials of higher education, are intimately involved in the solutions to our manpower problem. But the challenge to vou as college gradu- ates in the total spectrum of responsibility calls for further daring exploration, objec- tive analysis and action. In brief, your edu- cation is just beginning. Dean Hutchinson ALLEN C. HUTCHINSON, Dean Ph.D. PHILLIP KAPLAN Director of Eveiiinp, Division I should like to take this opportunity to extend to the students of the Evening Credit Program who are receiving degrees at the June commencement my congratulations and best wishes for future suc- cess. Your enthusiasm for education has been remarkable and the sacrifices that lui ha e made to obtain it deserve the warmest ap- proval of the faculty and administration of tiie college, of our families and our community. It is our hope that many will continue their education. In this endeavor I know that ou will have the fullest support and encour- agement of all associated with the College. P. Kaplan
