mivfiv: !. ENGINEERING The School of Engineering, headed by Dean Harry A. Curtiss, doubled its pre-war enroll- ment to 1500 students this year. In 1856 the school began classes in conjunction with the School of Agriculture, and offered only Civil Engineering. Then, in 1877, the department having grown steadily in prestige, outgrew the School of Agriculture and formed the present School of Engineering. HARRY A.
