BUSINESS AND PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION The School of Business and Public Administra- tion was established at the University in 1914. The purpose of the school is to equip students with a general knowledge of business and public administration and to provide training in special fields of business and public service. William L Bradshaw was appointed Dean of the B. and P. A. School this year, taking the place of Harry Gunnison Brown, who has been servmg as acting dean. WILLIAM L. EDUCATION Loren G. Townsend is the Dean of the School of Education. This college began in 1856 as a teachers ' college and a division of the state uni- versity. In 1900 the college became the school of education of the University of Missouri.
