Stamp After much thought and consideration it was decided that the write-up for the Class of ' 46 was to be different from that of any preceding freshman class. It would not recount that one hundred and three men and one young lady took the initial step toward the completion of their professional careers on January 4, 1944 — that the Navy commanded 2 3 and the Army 64 of the men — that it was the first class in the history of the School to be entirely in the specialized training program sponsored by the Navy and Army — that their Dean, Dr. J. Ben Robinson, addressed the class the opening day of school — that there were one hundred of the one hundred and three students answering roll at the end of the first semester. Ruction 1.
