a£ Ketb Basketball — a sport which combines physical development with a whole-hearted spirit of friendly cooperation at last permeates the realm of winter sport. The favorite of the indoor enthusiast forges to the front. A patient and systematic organization is begun and the gym becomes a center of surging activity. After weeks of practice the carefully drilled teams emerge anxious to encounter all challengers. The Hockey season was met with the usual enthusiasm this fall. Once more the FHockey field witnessed green-clad figures, sticks In hand, dashing here and there, now blocking — now dribbling — now lunging - — a long shot — and a goal! The eagerness with which each plunged ahead intent upon a goal is evidence of the competition among the classes. This year the Juniors came through with flying colors and were awarded the championship. The girls who excelled in skill and sportsmanship were chosen for the honor team, a procedure which Is customary at the end of every season. wimmin Swimmers ready — Go — the plunge — and down the pool they sprint — side to side to the finish. Both inter-class and inter-sorority competition was held. The classes came through with a fine showing, with the Juniors again coming out on top. Although the sororities were (Veil represented, it was the Independents who came through with flying colors.
