GREEKS T Torch light opening Greek week Marking the opening of Greek Week, each year the Theta Xi Torch is run from the state capital to SCA campus. Dr. Silas D. Snow, President of SCA, lighted the torch which burned throughout the week. Bringing spirit of competition to campus, Greek activities abound. Independents and Greeks get satis- faction and enioyment from the events which include Phi Lamb car bash, slave sale, Delta Zeta style show, daisygrams, daffodils, Theta Xi torch run, victory bell, Omega Phi Mu Black History Week, Pike Follies, Alpha Sigma Alpha Best Dressed Man on Campus, Valentine Royalty, Tri Sig sock hop, Sigma Kappa debutante ball, Alpha Tau balloon sale, Sig Tau's calendar and relay ride, and Phi Sigma Ep- silon Frontier Week. Viewing Black History Week exhibit are Normal Gilchrest and Robert Tiswell. As Gerald Garrison fiddles, Phil Warren and Robertial Toney exhibit skill in the art of square dancing at Phi Sig Frontier Week shootout.

SPRING With spring come carnival, Law Day USA When spring arrives on cam- pus, events accompany it. Law Day USA sponsored by the Pre-Law Club features a mock arrest and trial. Association of Christian Stu- dents holds its annual carnival with booths operated by organiza- tions. Operation Wheelchair partici- pants tested architectural barriers handicapped persons might encounter. Operation Wheelchair gets coverage on KETS-TV as Pat Sides discovers dif- ficulty of going through cafeteria serving line. Mock trial Law-Day USA, sponsored by Pre-Law Club featured UA Law students.
