,.iTi..TT,.. Education Conference is held for School Social Workers Education department added courses in Inter- personal Skills in Human Relations and Children's Reading and Book Selection. Over 400 student teachers, a record number, were assigned to 35 Arkansas school systems. The Department sponsored the first Arkansas Conference for School Social Workers September 25-26. Over 90 percent ot the school social workers in the state attended. Annual Reading Conference attracted over 700 participants from all parts of the state in October. A vision tester for screening people who may have visual problems was purchased. This will be used to test vision for college students who desire it and public school children who participate in the reading practicum. Audie J.
