Several thousand books, afile of micro- film, a quiet study corner andanever sharp pencil describe the library . . . a place in which many students seekrefuge come exam week. A student moves from a quiet library corner to an exciting athletic event, from a musical "jam" session to a turn with a paint brush. To this recipe of curriculum add one part academic, two parts social and one part spontaneity. The student revolves in a world of intramural football, intrinsic art designs, a good pool game, and a few quick Winks of study. Student union activities range from something to eat or afew latent thoughts of study to a good card game or a chal- lenging conversation. .e an mug; nm $10 om dm et rm wt na fm 00 gawk de G .Iw.m mm KW a W "haunted" houses, old often from colored leaves, slippery and wet muddy tennis shoes. creek banks, 9.. .5uln. c... The staff has tried to present a theme of "Transition" . This was done with the use of art work on the division pages, with the individual shots showing the students changing from freshmen to sophomores, and through the many pictures showing student activities. We hope you will truly enjoy this 1970 addition of the COPPERTOP. Pam Kintz 2nd Semester Editor
