alumni University alumni may he pone from the campus, hut they continue to hear the name of Washington proudly and with honor. Aiding in the promotion of the high ideals, efforts, and best interests of the University of Washington is the purpose of the Alumni Association. Since its beginning in 1891. the association has successfully carried out numerous long term and far-reaching projects bringing countless ln-nefits to the university and its students. Outstanding activities in- clude awarding scholarships to future graduates, holding class reunions, cele- brating Homecoming annually with new and vigorous enthusiasm, and each June sponsoring the commencement tea hon- oring graduating seniors. These year- round functions serve as a connecting link to pust college days and provide excellent opportunities for the alumni to renew old acquaintances.
