John Paque 'CIN MANY WAYS the most Successful year Welve ,ever had, is Director of Athletics Charles F. Franklandls sum- mary of the 19341-35 year for the ASUW. An unusually profitable football year, the largest number Of students in the inStitution's history, and a bril- liant concert season all aided in the pleasant financial prospects for the student corporation. Since 1902, when the ASUW was formed, the corporation has built more than a million dollars' worth Of improvements on the campus, and although the ASUW' saw several grey, near-bankruptcy depression years, conditions are now bright enough to consider further expansion, including the new menls Swimming pool and the long sought student union.
