I What can he said about social events? They were enjoyed by all (who went). We certainly hope so! They were organized so that everyone would have fun. For those of you who didn ' t attend or maybe don ' t remember these events (eg. Oktoberfest) here is a note on each to inform you and remind you what happened. The Engineering Car rally was held on Sunday the first day of October. The purpose was not to win by speed but by wit. If you had wit you could answer all those ridiculously obvious(?) questions. It was a perfect day for a ride and the wine and cheese party at the end. Congradulations to the top three! The Hustling Dances were revived on Fri. Sep. 21st and was carried out in the best of Skule tradition. Star was an excellent group to which everyone danced the night away. Who couldn ' t have had fun where there were lots of beer, beer, women and song.

The theme selected was quite suitably ENGINEER- ING FOR SOCIETY - Challenge and Achievement. It was agreed to hold Open House from October 18-20, corres- ponding to the Alumni Cen- tennial celebrations and the Homecoming Football Game. L-
