Medical serv- ices, restaurants, clothing stores, bar- Carrie Dawson bers and more were all within a two-block radius of UT. The Texas Union offered movies, bowling and pool. Students also ventured off into the big- ger city. Sixth Street hosted an array of cl ubs in which much of the famous Austin music scene took place.
