Always glad to help the embroiled student get scholastic difficulties straightened out. Authority on Contemporary Literature. W. A. NIELANDER Associate Professor of Marketmc When not in the classroom or attending to professoric duties, he can most likely be found fiddling with on of his cameras. Especially interested in making movies A. W. WALKER Professor of Law Outstanding authority on Oil and Gas Law. Especially fond of fresh water fishing and hunting. A Texas graduate, he is a member of Chancellors, Friars, and a for- mer editor of the Texas Law Review. DEWITT C. REDDICK Associate Professor of Journalism Author of one of the most used high school journalism texts in the state and of the crack regard- ing wide-open faces. Makes the wheels go around in the Inter- scholastic Press competition. Gives all his free time gladly to his charming daughter. S. L. BROWN Professor of Physic; Inventor of the strangest machine of our age. His brain-child re sembles one of Rube Goldberg ' : nightmares but differs in that i is useful; it will solve equation; that are so difficult that it wouk take a man a lifetime to obtair the result

ARTHUR DEEN Professor of Geology Perhaps the best dressed man on the campus and surely one of the most compelling lecturers. Used to shock freshmen with his enlightening course in Gen- eral Geology. Makes very good amateur movies. EDWARD CRANE Professor of Law Good-natured and understanding, professor Crane is director of the new Legal Aid Clinic and a member of the Board of Publications in addition to teaching his regular classes. Obtains great pleasure from his pre- view of the Ranger, of which he is one of the censors. CAPT. H. W. UNDERWOOD Pro- fessor, Naval Science and Tactics New to the campus, he is com- mandant of the new Naval R.O. T.C. unit. He is an expert archer. GRANVILLE PRICE Assistant Professor of Journalism Graduate of the University and erstwhile editor of The Daily Texan he is well-known for his scrapbook of newspaper blunders and interesting courses. Gets his exercise on the handball court and walking the floor with his young son. CLARENCE MORRIS Professor of Law Comparatively new to us, he is spending his second year here teaching lawyers how to think. His functional theory of the study of law and fascinating lecture procedure are outstanding char- acteristics.

CHARLES W. RAMSDELL Professor of American His ' His library of Texas history, numbering around two usand volumes, is one of the most complete private collections in the state. He is an expert on the history of the South. Enjoys golf and gardening. WALTER P. WEBB Professor of History Author of two historical novels The Texas Rangers and Divided We Stand. He has quite a collection of old guns and a good library. Swims and hikes for exercise. :: : re - : .: ; STUART A. MacCORKLE Associ- ate Professor of Government. Ten- .ind golf are his recreation outlets. Specialty is municipal government and in addition to teaching is director of the Bureau of Municipal Research. R. A. LAW Professor of English Edited one of the Arden editions of Shakespeare, and wrote a book entitled Written English. Is a member of the American Institute of Genealogy and pursues gene- ology as a hobby. We see him here taking a work-out with ax and wood-pile. GEORGE E. HURT Director of University Bands At every all-University event you will find the Colonel. He gives untiringly of his energy to the development of the best band in the South. His work is play to him so for rest he works some more. Likes to compose and arrange pieces for his boys. Plays a good violin.
