Musical Groups Active music groups at UTM this year include the United Collegian Singers, the ROTC Chorus, and numerous informal groups, as well as the Choralairs, the Co-eds, and the Madrigal Singers. The Choralairs are a select and versatile chorus who have gained statewide recognition from their spring tour and off-campus appearances. The Co-eds specialize in pop and folk songs, show tunes, and other light works. The Madrigals, limited by audition to about a dozen members, perform unaccompanied Renaissance chamber music. All three groups are under the direction of John Mathesen. During 1969-70, too, the Cpera Workshop, supervised by Marilyn Jewett, presented works by Mozart, Verdi, Bizet, Barber, and Menotti.
